The Cometic Gaskets 96mm MLX Head Gasket is engineered for Ford 6.0L PowerStroke engines, offering superior sealing capabilities. This multi-layer steel (MLS) gasket features a 96mm bore and a compressed thickness of 0.062 inches, ensuring optimal performance under high-pressure conditions. The outer layers are embossed and coated with a Viton rubber material, providing excellent heat resistance up to 482°F (250°C). The center layer is an uncoated stainless steel shim, folded to create a locking bore seal, enhancing cylinder sealing potential. Designed to withstand the shearing forces between aluminum heads and cast iron blocks, this gasket requires no re-torque, promoting even clamp load and reducing bore distortion. Compatible with 18mm alignment dowels, it fits Ford PowerStroke models manufactured between 2003 and January 11, 2006.
