The Blueprint Engines SBC 383 Crate Engine Fully Dressed is a high-performance, ready-to-install engine designed for enthusiasts seeking power and reliability. This 383 cubic inch small block Chevy engine delivers 436 horsepower and 443 ft. lbs. of torque, making it an excellent choice for various applications. Featuring a new Blueprint cast iron block with a 4-bolt main and a 4.000-inch bore, this engine is built for durability. The rotating assembly includes a cast crankshaft with a 3.750-inch stroke, OEM-type 5.700-inch connecting rods with 150,000 PSI bolts, and hypereutectic pistons, ensuring balanced performance. Equipped with Blueprint aluminum cylinder heads with 64cc chambers and 2.02-inch intake/1.60-inch exhaust valves, it offers optimal airflow. The hydraulic roller camshaft provides a .544-inch intake and .555-inch exhaust lift, with a 230 intake and 236 exhaust duration at .050-inch, and a 110-degree lobe separation angle. Additional components include a Holley 750 cfm vacuum secondary carburetor with manual choke, dual-plane satin aluminum intake manifold, HEI distributor, and a standard rotation long-style water pump. This engine is externally balanced at the front and rear and requires 91+ octane fuel. Please note, it may not clear a stock Corvette hood and is not for use in pollution-controlled vehicles. The performance aluminum cylinder heads feature a .500-inch raised port compared to OEM.
