The Hughes Performance HD Transbrake Solenoid (Part Number: HUGHP7498HD) is a heavy-duty, rebuildable solenoid engineered specifically for use with Hughes Performance HP6282 Powerglide transbrake valve bodies. This solenoid features a unique oversize design and is compatible exclusively with Hughes Performance transbrake valve bodies. It is not recommended for use with other brands due to potential compatibility issues. The solenoid is designed for short-duration activation, ideally no longer than 10–15 seconds at a time, to prevent overheating and ensure longevity. Replacement parts, including the solenoid winding (Part Number: HP7499) and seal kit (Part Number: HP7499RK), are available for maintenance and rebuilding purposes.
