Description
The B&M Transpak is designed for 1980-1992 Ford AOD automatic transmissions, excluding 1992 and later models with electronic shift. This kit recalibrates your transmission for optimal performance and extended life. It offers two stages: Stage 1 (Heavy Duty) provides a firmer shift feel suitable for street rods and heavy-duty use without harshness, maintaining normal automatic operation in 'Drive'. Stage 2 (Hi-Performance Street) delivers quicker shifts for full performance street use while retaining full automatic features and standard shift points in 'Drive'. The Transpak allows downshifting at any speed and holding the transmission in first gear to any speed, beneficial for modified engines or towing. Installation is straightforward and does not require transmission removal.
