The Airaid Cold Air Dam (CAD) Intake System is engineered to provide your 2008-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 with larger amounts of cooler air, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. This system retains the original air filter location while adding a substantial open-element air inlet protected by Cold Air Dam panels, which act as heat shields to prevent engine bay heat from affecting the intake air. The panels mount in the factory air box location and utilize existing factory cold air inlet ducts, adding additional passages to the filter. They also seal to the underside of the hood via blade-style weather stripping, isolating the filter from hot engine compartment air. This CAD system includes a replacement low-restriction intake tube made from high-density cross-linked polyethylene. The 360-degree conical Airaid premium air filter is washable and reusable, offering superior filtration compared to traditional paper filters. Installation is straightforward with common hand tools.
